…and if you buy that, you’ll buy anything.

The thing I’d really love to know is, just how many people actually bought it thinking that the cable would actually protect them from a possible virus let alone virus noise?

The 3rd Earth Xbox 360 Elite HDMI 2.5m mylar cable features anti-virus protection and quality steel connections plated in 24 carat gold. The Cable features hand-assembled connections for optimal signals transmission and is only compatible with Elite Xbox 360 consoles or later Arcade models that have HDMI output.

Anti-Virus Cable

Turns out that the misprint was down to a bad translation from the original French. Reddit user avapoet wrote off to the site selling the cable (bluemouth) asking how the HDMI cable protects users from viruses as well as asking what ‘virus noises’ were. Bluemouth replied thus:

You got to love bad translations.
