Samsung has today officially announced the arrival of the Galaxy S4 Zoom, which is the latest variant of the Galaxy S4 family to be announced this month. The other S4 variants are the Galaxy S4 Active and the S4 Mini plus, the Galaxy S4 that ships unlocked with stock Android running which was announced at this year’s Google I/O in May.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is described as being a powerful new device that combines the stylish heritage of the Galaxy S4 with powerful photographic capabilities. The latest S4 device from Samsung features a 10x optical zoom on the rear of the device, a 16-megapixel CMOS sensor and a 24-240mm, F3.1-F6.3 lens. The front facing camera is 1.9-megapixel. It has an ISO range of 100 – 3200 and can shoot at 4fps maximum and features Xenon flash technology. Storage wise the Zoom comes with a slightly unimpressive 8GB of internal memory of which only 5GB is usable along with a microSD slot (takes up to 64GB) and 1.5GB RAM. The device also comes with a pretty decent 2,330mAh battery, a 1.5GHz Exynos processor, Corning’s new Gorilla Glass 3 with Native Damage Resistance and a 4.3 inch qHD sAMOLED (960×540) screen. Connection wise the S4 comes with LTE, 3G, WiFi a/b/g/n 5GHz, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 (LE). The device ships with Android Jelly Bean 4.2
