You may have noticed that Google have recently added a new user menu tab to Chrome’s browser, which you will find next to the minimise icon in the top left hand corner of the window. This simply allows you to either switch to a different user, sign in to your Google account, or use the incognito browsing mode.
However, if like quite a few users, you don’t like having this new addition being added by default to your main Google Chrome page then removing it is actually quite simple.
In the address bar type, Chrome://flags and hit Enter. In the new tab that will open up, find the Enable the new avatar menu option (Do CTRL+F and type Avatar, which will highlight all occurrences of the word avatar making it easier to spot)
It will be set to Default, so to disable this feature, use the drop down box and select Disable
To save your choice, click on Relaunch Now, which will then relaunch Chrome but with out the new menu icon showing.
